Introducing the Vineyard Owner’s Program in Argentina
【Overview】
Argentina is a country with a thriving agricultural and livestock industry, boasting the second-largest land area in Latin America after Brazil. It is one of the world's leading producers of grains such as corn and soybeans, fruits like grapes, lemons, and limes, and livestock such as horses and cattle.
• For wine lovers, becoming an owner of a vineyard in Argentina and enjoying the creation of their own custom wine is the ultimate dream. However, realizing this dream is not easy due to cost, time constraints, and other factors. To help make this dream a reality, we are pleased to introduce our "Vineyard Owners Program." (February 2023 edition)
【The Charm of Argentinian Wine】
• In South America, Argentina has approximately 1,300 wineries, mainly at the foot of the Andes Mountains, and ranks 5th in the world for wine production.
• While Argentinian wine was once mostly consumed domestically, after the 1990s, inspired by the success of neighboring Chile, winemakers and other experts were invited from Europe and America to introduce modern production know-how. This led to the production of high-quality wines, which are now exported to countries worldwide.
【What is the Vineyard Owners Program?】
• The vineyards are located at Casa de Uco Winery in the Uco Valley, about an hour from Mendoza, Argentina's largest wine-producing region.
• A vast area of 320 hectares (six times the size of Tokyo Disneyland) includes 75 hectares dedicated to vineyards.
• You can purchase a section of these vineyards and enjoy making your own original wine using the grapes produced there.
• The vineyards available for purchase are around 1 hectare in size, with a 1-hectare plot costing approximately $170,000.
• In addition to the purchase cost of the vineyard, the following expenses are required for vineyard management and grape cultivation:
1. Registration and management fees for the vineyard 2. Wine production costs 3. Costs for barrels, bottles, labels, etc. 4. Shipping costs to Japan 5. Customs fees, various taxes, storage fees, etc.
