In Europe and America, the death rate from cancer is decreasing.

In the U.S. in particular, the death rate from cancer began to decline in the early 90s, thanks to national initiatives launched in the 1970s.
Meanwhile, in Japan, the rate continues to rise.
There is little difference in medical standards between Japan and the U.S. The key is why such a difference exists.
One reason is said to be the difference in cancer screening rates.
In the U.S., breast and cervical cancer screenings are generally conducted.
The screening rate is high, at 70% to 80%, while in Japan, it is less than 30%. (Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, Comprehensive Survey of Living Conditions)

This cannot be explained by the lack of national publicity and announcements regarding cervical cancer alone.
A problem has come to light through national surveys.
There is a major problem with the screening situation due to cultural differences.
Since people undergo examinations as general citizens rather than as patients with an illness,
shame and humiliation regarding the physical posture during examinations are cited as reasons.
*While curtains generally provide privacy, the fact that nothing is worn on the lower body directly leads to feelings of shame and humiliation.

What are "examination pants for women"?

Examination pants for women were devised by Associate Professor Kumiko Watanabe of Dokkyo Medical University Hospital's Breast Center, who thought, "If only we could narrow the exposed area, it would reduce embarrassment..." Her goal was to make gynecological examinations easier for as many women as possible. These examination garments are designed with women's feelings in mind, hoping to make it easier for those who are reluctant to visit a gynecologist to get screened.

● A slit in the crotch allows for examination with a reduced exposed area while worn.
● Elastic waist and free-size, identical front and back design for easy wearing and removal.
