What is Ear Popper?

Ear Popper is a self-eustachian tube inflation device that prevents and alleviates ear discomfort caused by changes in air pressure, such as those experienced on airplanes.
With a simple push of a button, it consistently sends a controlled amount of air from the nasal cavity to the middle ear, adjusting the pressure difference between the cabin and the middle ear to improve symptoms. No special practice is needed, and you can perform eustachian tube inflation discreetly. Children can also use it.
Ear discomfort experienced on airplanes

The Ear Popper alleviates ear discomfort caused by changes in air pressure by opening the Eustachian tubes.
Changes in air pressure during airplane ascent and descent
When an airplane ascends, the air pressure outside the eardrum (in the cabin) is low, and the air pressure inside the eardrum (in the middle ear) is high.
To lower the pressure in the middle ear, the Eustachian tube releases air from the middle ear to the pharynx, resolving the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the eardrum.
When an airplane descends, the air pressure outside the eardrum (in the cabin) is high, and the air pressure inside the eardrum (inner ear) is low.
To increase the pressure in the middle ear, the Eustachian tube needs to draw air from the pharynx into the inner ear, but the Eustachian tube is structured in a way that makes it difficult to draw in air.
As a result, the inner ear remains under negative pressure, and the eardrum becomes retracted inward, causing ear pain.
The Ear Popper improves symptoms by addressing the cause of this pain.
How to use

STEP 1
Before using the Ear Popper, blow your nose to clear your nasal passages and improve airflow.
Place the Ear Popper's nose tip against your nostril and press the operation button to consistently deliver a steady flow of air into the nasal cavity. Start by getting used to this sensation.
STEP 2
Place the Ear Popper's nose tip against one nostril, and use your finger to close the other nostril.
Press the operation button to send air into the nasal cavity, adjusting the pressure difference in the middle ear.
At this time, swallowing saliva or water will open the Eustachian tube, making it easier for air from the Ear Popper to enter the Eustachian tube.
STEP 3
Place the nose tip against the opposite nostril and repeat the same operation.
Repeat the above operation as needed depending on your symptoms.
If symptoms do not improve after repeated use, stop the operation and do not force it.
Developed based on the Politzer maneuver, this is a portable device for safe self-eustachian tube inflation. It gently and consistently delivers air from the nasal cavity to the eustachian tube for safe ventilation.
The nose tips are replaceable (replacement nose pieces sold separately).
If symptoms do not improve, we recommend consulting a doctor.
